Aga Khan University Examination Board, a Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary education established by the Aga Khan University, was founded in August of 2003, in accordance with the Ordinance CXIV of the Government of Pakistan. SSC (Secondary School Certificate) and HSSC (Higher Secondary School Certificate) is the response to the demand of a more appropriate and qualified examination system; It offers its qualification in both Urdu as well as English Medium.
The primary objective of AKU-EB is to provide a platform for improving the quality of education by making examinations of reputable standard more accessible to Pakistani students and having them increasingly valued by leading higher education institutions locally and internationally.
LEARNING ALLIANCE has completed SSC Part I for the first batch of students and will be carrying forth the second part of SSC in the following academic year. By the end of SSC Part 2, a student completes tens years of schooling. A wide range of Science as well as Humanities subjects are being offered to the students. The five Core subjects are compulsory and the rest may be selected from a list of Sciences and Humanities disciplines currently being offered at the school. The core subjects are namely:
